A Natural and Holistic Approach
Imbalance in the body’s vital energy Qi can lead to disease and illness. This imbalance is thought to be caused by an alteration in the opposite, but complementary, forces that govern Qi – yin and yang.
TCM aligns closely with the care philosophy at Numinus. By looking at the patient holistically – addressing external factors, helping them deal with emotions in a healthy way and improving lifestyle – TCM aims to re-establish balance in the body.
To support your healing journey in between the sessions, Numinus has a wide range of high quality, third-party tested, non-adulterated and non-toxic Chinese Herbs, in a custom formulation to suit your needs. Chinese herbs are very powerful and best used in combination with Acupuncture. Our initial consultation is 30 mins and follow-ups are 20 mins.
Pediatric Tuina, also known as Chinese Pediatric Massage, is a special massage for young children branched out from Traditional Chinese Medicine to stimulate specific acupuncture points or areas for treating and preventing diseases in children. It works by influencing a child’s energetic flow in the same way as acupuncture, but uses gentle massage to activate the various points instead of needles. Massage, acupressure and other forms of body manipulation boost the function of the internal organs by balancing their energies, strengthening the immune system, and promoting brain development.
“Your body is an integrated whole. Each structure in your body is an integral and necessary part of that whole. You are completely connected to nature, changes in nature are always reflected your body. You were born with a natural self-healing ability. Prevention is the best cure, and your body is continually revealing signs about the state of your health and TCM teaches you how to interpret what your body is telling you.”
